Top 7 Science Documentary Series You Need To Watch

Watching a TV show is relaxing and entertaining. It is a pastime that many people enjoy, just like playing video games or gambling to get a Betamo bonus. And why not be entertained and learn more about science at the same time? This is possible if you watch science TV shows.

“Through the Wormhole” (2018-2017)

The main character and host of this series is Morgan Freeman. His presentation makes the information even more interesting. Each series begins with some story of the actor, which traditionally ends with a new mystery of the universe. Each time Morgan Freeman asks questions that have long interested many people, both geniuses and scientists, and the most ordinary people. Is there a God? Are there other worlds? Are black holes a myth or truth? How long will the Universe exist? Will mankind become extinct?

“Black Mirror” (2011-present)

“Black Mirror” is not a science series, but rather an art series, but it is also worth watching because it captures the essence of the consequences of the scientific advances available to modern mankind. What a few decades ago seemed unrealistic and fantastic, today is firmly embedded in our lives and the everyday life of most inhabitants of the planet. Everyone has a smartphone or tablet, every house has a plasma TV, and many people replace live communication with short messages on social networks. The Internet means more to us than the experience of past generations, and only 140 characters of a short message are stored in our memory, while mankind has discovered unique opportunities to communicate with each other.  The black mirror is a faceless display of mobile devices that reflects the essence of the existence of the world’s population in the 21st century.  And that reflection is sad and frightening.

“Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey”  (2014)

The author of this science creation, Neil deGrasse Tyson, has a long and most likely mutual love for science. This love he wants to instill in everyone. And it is impossible not to begin to nurture sincere feelings for everything that seems to be going on around us, but at the same time remains covered with mystery. You will understand a lot of things that previously remained unexplored and mysterious because Neil tells everything in such clear and simple language that even children can watch the series. The author will talk about the greatest figures of science, who shocked the whole world with discoveries, physical phenomena and reactions, and much more.

“How The Universe Works” (2010-present)

Space has always beckoned people and has been a subject of study for many scientists. It remains the greatest mystery to this day, although spaceships have been traveling through its expanses for several decades, and they have managed to visit other planets. And yet the Universe continues to reveal more and more of its secrets, and it will probably never be fully revealed. If you want to go on a virtual space journey, then the series “How the Universe Works” will give you such an opportunity. It was filmed relatively recently, and some of the special effects are so realistic that at some point you might feel like you’re actually on another planet or witnessing the birth of a new star or even a universe. It’s simply amazing!

“Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking” (2010)

The author of this series was a famous astrophysicist and an incredibly talented and brilliant scientist who proved to the whole world that, even being confined to a wheelchair and completely immobilized, you can unlock the mysteries of the universe and make unique discoveries. And Stephen Hawking in one of his television works will try to tell ordinary people about some phenomena and subjects in which he understands much better than others. It unravels the mysteries of the Universe that excite many people, tells about other planets and their inhabitants, about space and time, and many other things and events. All this is incredibly informative, interesting, and truly amazing.

“Richard Hammond’s Invisible Worlds” (2010)

If you think that you know everything about the planet Earth, you are deeply mistaken, and Richard Hammond will prove it to you once again. From the series, you will learn that the human eye is a unique organ and one of the most powerful and amazing tools in the world. But what captures vision – it’s not all that is on the planet. Many events and phenomena occur literally near us, but at the same time remain unnoticed by us. The creators of this short series used the most modern technology to penetrate the secret world, which can be called parallel and invisible. And you will be able to uncover many of its secrets and learn a lot of new, interesting, and sometimes unimaginable things. And it deserves your attention!

“Stardust Lost In The Andes” (1995-1996)

“Stardust Lost In The Andes” is a whole documentary series, devoted to historical events that have not yet been fully disclosed and disturbing the minds of historians, scientists, and ordinary people. Each episode deals with one, at first glance, a strange phenomenon related to the disappearance of people or entire airplanes and ships, with the so-called “white spots” in the lives of individuals. These are the most shocking disappearances that open up from the other side. In the series you can see new and unusual explanations, recently found and published documents and footage, and much, much more.

These were the most fascinating science series ever. Be sure to watch at least one of them and you will learn a lot of new scientific facts!
